In mid-2019, Slough Borough Council (SBC) determined it was necessary to bring in a community safety team to assist in patrolling a local neighbourhood due to rising tensions between different groups within the community.
The overall objective was to help de-escalate these tensions, provide a visible patrol service and interact with the local community. Within a matter of weeks, Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) deployed an end-to-end, Community Safety Warden service, with full back-office support, for capabilities such as issuing Fixed Penalty Notices.

In 2015, Surrey Police received ‘inadequate’ and ‘required improvement’ following the HMIC assessment on operational effectiveness. Chief Constable Lynne Owens requested an independent and impartial review to be performed across the public protection unit, delivered by Red Snapper Group. A Public Protection Standards Team (PPST) was created to identify current threats, issues and challenges to historic and current investigations where vulnerable persons were at high risk.
The team was created in September 2015, led by a former Detective Chief Inspector from the Metropolitan Police Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command, specialising namely on child sexual exploitation. He is supported by a team of highly experienced former law enforcement investigative professionals of Detective Inspector and Detective Sergeant level, with significant experience of managing child protection and serious, complex crime investigations.

In November 2017, West Midlands Police (WMP) engaged Red Snapper Group (RSG) to obtain up to 80 statements in a proof of concept initiative. This initiative was developed by RSG to support investigations to enable an efficient and effective service in terms of quality, timeliness and value for money. The proof of concept supported the WMP Public Protection Unit (PPU), which had a significantly high number of investigations, involving children.
RSG supported Operation Satchel, an historical child abuse investigation, dating back to 2006. All the statements were obtained from General Practitioners, medical professionals, and healthcare workers across the West Midlands region.

In 2016, Red Snapper Group was awarded a contract to deliver a National Fraud Investigation Consultancy service to the City of London Police – Economic Crime Directorate (ECD).
The City of London Police ECD is recognised as the UK policing lead for fraud, taking on significant and highly complex investigations with both national and international lines of enquiry. Through its extensive candidate database of law enforcement professionals, Red Snapper Group was able to build up a nationwide pool of highly experienced field based fraud investigators.

A police force in the South of England required a CCTV review to support a major and complex criminal investigation after a member of the public lost his life following a violent incident.

At the beginning of 2019, Bedford Borough Council (BBC) required support on an investigation into the supply of illicit tobacco within their local area.
As part of their investigation, BBC had seized a CCTV hard drive and had it forensically analysed. This produced a high volume of CCTV footage which BBC required support in reviewing.
Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) deployed a specialist team to catalogue and index the CCTV footage.
Evidence supplied by the client required a significant level of analysis expertise, therefore RSMS deployed a specialist CCTV review consultant, to support the investigation.

In March 2019 Red Snapper Managed Service (RSMS) received a requirement for the provision of surveillance support from Thurrock Council.
The summary of requirements was for the provision of 2 surveillance operatives to monitor a business suspected of selling illicit tobacco in the Thurrock area, in order to support Thurrock’s ongoing Trading Standards (TS) investigations.
A team of consultants was deployed within weeks, alongside the provision of 2 weeks of best practice consulting at no additional cost before commencement of the operation.

In 2018, Thurrock Council requested Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) deliver a package comprising of consultants from an Eastern European background in order to aid their investigations in the Thurrock area.
Over the course of this investigation, with the support of the RSMS team, one consultant was able to obtain 11 successful TPs.

As with many Local Authorities, Colchester Borough Council (CBC) has an ongoing issue with fly tipping. The illegal dumping of waste across England has increased by nearly 40% in six years, and Colchester in line with other councils, have seen a significant increase.

On 9 July 2018, Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) was invited by the Royal Falkland Islands Authority to conduct an independent inquiry into their policing practices. This inquiry comprised an inspection of leadership, crime management, demand and resources within RFIP.

RSMS began supporting a nationwide statement-taking operation with Trading Standards in April 2018 looking into door to door sales of fish. This investigation focused on door to door sellers suspected to be targeting areas commonly housing elderly people and using forced sale tactics to intimidate the buyers into purchasing at higher prices and/or in larger quantities. In most cases the areas that they were visiting were located in No Cold Caller zones issued by Trading Standards and other local authorities, such as the police.
